Dynamic Required Field – “You shall not pass!”

How annoying is it when you have completed sheet after sheet for ONE form to find at the end you have missed something out? It’s an easy mistake to make and we have all done it. Surely there is a better way? Well, with our new dynamic required property there is no need to try and remember everything – The Dynamic Required property will remind you to complete them! The property uses a simple formula within the wanted required field to determine it being required or not depending on the previous field.

For example:

1st field: “Do you have a disability?” – “Yes” – the next field will now become “required”

2nd field: *“Please give details of your disability below”

As you can see, giving the answer “yes” will prompt you to fill in the subsequent field, leaving you frustration free!

Dynamic Hidden Field – Now you see it, now you don’t…

…In fact, maybe we should say; now you don’t see it, now you do! Have you ever found yourself filling out forms but not knowing which sections to actually fill in? Our new dynamic hidden field property displays only the fields you need, when you need them. Saving time and making everyone’s lives easier. The property uses a simple formula within the wanted hidden field to determine it being hidden or not depending on the previous field.

EG:

“Has the customer given feedback” – “Yes” – [Box appears] “Description”

“Has the customer given feedback” – “No”

As the example above shows, if you’ve answered “no” to a question, you may not need to see a description box. This takes away laboriously typing “N/A” into boxes that don’t apply to you!

Sub Tagging – Roses are Red, Violets are blue

We colour code everything. From the post-it notes and highlighter pens on our desks to the clothes we wear. Our new tool, makes colour coding a doddle. This can be used to differentiate parts, risks, products, the possibilities are endless!

Are you a plumbing supplier? You could choose to group all Taps in red, Toilets in green etc, making it easy to view products in a certain category at a glance!

Are you a delivery driver? You could choose to mark delivered jobs green, “left with neighbour” yellow, and undelivered, red.

The possibilities are endless!

Memory Control – “An elephant never forgets…. and neither will you!”

When asked about peoples biggest bug bear at work, you can almost guarantee “completing tedious forms” will raise its ugly head fairly quickly. Have you ever felt like you are completing the same details in the same fields every day? We have, and we realised surely there must be an easier way?!

With our new memory control tool, gone are the days of inputting the same details you have already inputted previously. Simply enter any details, for example, customer address, into one initial form and any other forms with the same details will automatically be populated! Easy!

This brilliant tool saves time and reduces the chance of mistakes or information being forgotten; helping you and your workforce to concentrate on the things you do best.

Weve Moved

We’ve Moved!

After four years at our previous location, we have now made the move to the vibrant destination of MediaCityUK, in Salford Quays.  Our new offices are bright and spacious with floor to ceiling windows, which provide a fantastic view while we work.

MediaCityUK is a fantastic development and being amongst the creative and digital sectors will no doubt help to improve eSAY Solutions and the WorkMobile® product development into the future.  Our offices are located in The Landing, which has been developed by Salford City Council with funding from the North West Development Agency and European Regional Development Fund to create a unique facility for small and medium sized digital media companies.

The Landing is kitted out with cutting edge technology and super-fast broadband which gives us the flexibility to work everywhere in the building.

Our new address is: 5th Floor, The Landing, Blue Tower, MediaCityUK, Salford, Manchester, M50 2ST.

Formatted Label

A brand new tool in the Form Designer Toolbox!  Similar to the ‘Label’ tool, you’re able to display text or additional instructions on your form, but with the added ability of formatting the text.

We often get asked if company ‘Terms & Conditions’ can be added to a form, and with the Formatted Label this is now possible as it holds thousands of characters.
