WorkShop Wednesdays – Don’t miss out!

Posted on:

WorkMobile® WorkShop Wednesday Partner Training Sessions have been busier than ever, so we have some new session dates to cope with the demand.

If you are signed up to our Partner Programme and haven’t yet had the chance to attend our sales training days, we hope you can join us on either the 23rd November or 7th December for an interactive and informative training session to expand your knowledge of WorkMobile®.

You and members of your sales team are all welcome to attend and find out the best ways to get your clients interested and set up.

Delivered within a morning session at our offices in Salford, Manchester, the sales training offers sales executives the chance to get their hands on WorkMobile® and the opportunity to learn first-hand about the sales tools we have used to great success.

Sales teams that have attended a WorkShop Wednesday session so far have been really impressed with the training, and they have left with the ability to emphasise the benefits of WorkMobile® for client’s business processes.

Dr Keith Horsted, Managing Director of Telco-op said: “It was an inspirational session to the point that I was up until 1am creating forms for flower deliveries and fixed line orders.”

If you or your sales team would like to attend either the 23rd November or the 7th December from 9.30am until 12.30pm, we would love to hear from you as we are confident that this training will help to boost your revenue.

3G Network brings internet to Mount Everest Climbers

Posted on:

Those brave souls tackling Mount Everest can now check their Facebook account and make video calls through a 3G Network, Nepalese telecoms firm Ncell says.

The wireless network could help thousands of tourists who visit Mount Everest every year.  Climbers and trekkers in the Everest region have so far relied on satellite phones and a voice-only mobile network.

Ncell, which is owned by the Swedish company TeliaSonera, says its highest 3G base station is near Everest base camp at 5,200 meters (17,000 ft).   The coverage would reach the summit of the world’s highest mountain, although reportedly this hasn’t been tested yet.

The 3G network will help climbers and trekkers stay in touch with their families and trip organizers.  It will also enable them to receive weather reports and safety information while they are climbing.
