Apple’s next-generation tablet looks likely to feature front and rear mounted cameras, perfect for data capture, according to component suppliers working on “iPad 2”.

Reuters said the revamped model would be slimmer and would boast a longer battery life.  Camera module makers Genius Electronic Optical and Largan Precision were also tarting new supply deals with Apple.

A revamped iPad launch in the first half of 2011 would be in line with the company’s drip feed upgrades, with small changes made to its products about once a year, considering the iPad arrived in January this year.

She explained that this is becoming something of a craze, with a number of differently-priced models coming into the market.  She went on to suggest that people wanted to be able to  stay in touch with the office in real-time whilst working, and still have access to social networking sites and personal email.

Mobility has moved beyond the domain of early adopters and, despite economic downturns, organisations continue to invest heavily. It addresses the mobilisation of key business processes by means of a platform, such as WorkMobile+, that can support an organisation’s required evolution and growth, with strategic alignment to overall business goals. This approach delivers short-term value through cost savings, productivity enhancements and a fast return on investment (ROI) and long-term value through the delivery of new mobile services and the ability to identify new market opportunities.
