Hopefully you will find the answers to your general questions about WorkMobile® here.

WorkMobile® is compatible with an ever growing list of devices running Windows Mobile, Blackberry, Android, Symbian and iPhone.  See here for Tested & Supported Platforms.

You can see the data that your field workers collect from any computer with an internet connection.  You simply log in to the WorkMobile® website, view your data and even export to Microsoft Excel at any time.

We take security very seriously especially when it comes to your valuable data.  We use industry standard encryption methods (SSL) to transmit data from mobile devices to the WorkMobile® servers house in our data centre.  Our data centre is built to the highest specifications and includes full nightly off-site backup.

No.  Unlike lots of other mobile solution providers, WorkMobile® is pay-as-you-go.

The short answer is no.  You simply top-up your account with credits and use them whenever you wish.

However, if you do wish to be on a contract price plan, this is available.  Have a look at the Pricing page for more information.

No.  You can download the WorkMobile® App as many times as you like and onto as many devices as you like.  You can also create as many Mobile Users on your account as needed, at no additional cost.

You can be up and running within 10 minutes from registration.  The length of time it takes to build a form depends on the number of fields you are using, and the complexity of the form, however, it is very simple and easy to do.

Yes.  WorkMobile® lets your Mobile Users continue to capture and send data regardless.  You’ll just need to top up your account with additional credit in order to view any records that haven’t been paid for.

The form designer is very easy to use, but here are some faq’s.

A simple form may only take a few minutes to design.  However, the length of time it takes to build a form depends on the number of fields you are using, and the complexity of the form.

The Form Designer is very easy to use, and you just need to simply drag the tools you want to use and drop them onto the phone screen.  Then just edit each tool by using the Form-Field Properties menu.

No.  You can drag and drop as many tools as you need!  You form can be as long or short as you need it to be and it will still only cost you 1 or 2 credits.

If you want your form to display the current date and time rather than a fixed point you can do this by adding formulae to your Calendar and Time fields.

To set the date to display the current day, add the Calendar field onto your form and in the Form-field Properties input the following formula into the Formula field:

=today()

To set the time to display the current time, add the Time field to your form and in the Form-field Properties input the following formula into the Formula field:

=now()

After saving your form, open it on the WorkMobile® application and when you open this form the date and time will default to current.

If you have added formulas to your form but find that when you open the application that they are not working and in some cases they display error messages then it is worth checking that you do not have multiple fields called the same name.

On the WorkMobile® form designer the possibility is there to call fields the same name, but if you are including formulas on the form then you need to make sure that the fields are all called individual names.  This is because if you have a formula which uses a specific field, but this field is called exactly the same as another of your fields then you may notice that when the formula tries to run it doesn’t know which of the fields to use and sometimes it may work but more often than not it will not.

In order to make sure this doesn’t happen make sure that all of the fields you have included on your form have unique names.

If you are using the website and find that you have been automatically logged out this may be due to the fact that you have not used the website for at least 20 minutes.  If there is a period of inactivity for at least 20 minutes you will be logged out and you will be asked to log in again.  This is for security reasons.

Find the faq’s about your completed form data here.

Once you have completed a job on the WorkMobile® application you will need to make sure that you click the Send/Receive button, or else the data will not upload to the WorkMobile® website and instead will just sit on the device.

Once a new version/update of the WorkMobile® App has been released, the next time you login you will get a pop up message telling you that it is available and recommending that you download it.  You then need to make sure that you upload any data that you currently have saved on your device (by pressing Send/Receive) before updating the software.  This is because in order to update the application, your device first has to remove the old one, meaning the database with completed forms/jobs saved on will be deleted.

You need to make sure that before you download and install the latest version that you run a Send/Receive and make sure that there are no jobs saved in your Outbox or Drafts.

If you have completed records on a device and they have been uploaded but are not able to view them on the WorkMobile® website in the ’completed records’ then it is worth checking how many credits you have on your account.  If you have run out of credits then you will be able to upload data from the device but you will not be able to view it on the website until you purchase more credits.

Once you have created a form and you are ready for it to be available for your mobile users to have access to it, you will need to make sure that you Publish it first.

Once you have created a form and clicked Save, you are returned to the form dashboard for the form you have just created.  On this screen is a button which says “Form is Unpublished”, you will need to click this button, which will change the text to read “Form is Published”, then after your mobile user clicks Send/Receive the form should become available to them.

Find out the things you might be wondering about WorkMobile® credits.

When you are logged into your account on the website, just go to ‘Buy Credits’ section and choose the bundle you would like to purchase.  After providing your details you will be directed to Sage to complete your order.

If you have uploaded data but instead of appearing within Completed Records they are appearing under Unpaid Records you will need to purchase some more credits.  Once you have purchased enough credits to cover these records they will move from Unpaid Records to Completed Records.

If you upload a record which has notifications assigned to it but you don’t have any credits on your account then the record will go straight into the Unpaid Records page, and the notification WILL NOT get sent out.  As soon as you buy some credits the job will move into Completed Records and this is when the notification for that job will get sent out.

If you have urgent notifications, try to keep your credits topped up.  You can see how many credits are remaining on the top right hand side of the screen when logged into your account on the website.

Here our the most commonly asked questions about the WorkMobile® App.

There are different ways of downloading the WorkMobile® application, and it is all dependant on what platform you are using:

iPhone / iPad- To download WorkMobile® onto an iPhone or iPad you will need to visit the Apple App Store and search for WorkMobile, and then download the application from there. This is the only way to download the application onto the iPhone or iPad.

BlackBerry – WorkMobile® can be downloaded onto BlackBerry handsets by searching for and downloading WorkMobile® through the BlackBerry App World, but also by visiting the download website (just type esay.mobi in the URL bar across the top of your browser, you do not need to type anything else) and selecting the appropriate version.

BlackBerry Playbook – On the BlackBerry Playbook WorkMobile® is only available for download through the BlackBerry App World.

Android – You can download the Android version of WorkMobile® by going into the Android Play Store and searching for WorkMobile or you can open the web browser on your Android and navigate to the download website (esay.mobi) where you can select and download the appropriate version for you.

Desktop – To download the Desktop version of WorkMobile® you have to access the download site (esay.mobi) via your web browser and select the desktop version from the options.

The WorkMobile® App is free to download.

Yes, the App will work on the iPhone.

It will also work on Blackberry, Android devices and Windows Mobile.

If you are using an iPhone you will notice that any check boxes you have included within your form are not displaying as a check box when you login. The iPhone displays check boxes as Yes / No sliders and unfortunately this can not be changed.

The Invalid Access Token message that is appearing whenever you try and upload data comes about due to somebody else logging into WorkMobile® after you but using the same username and password that you have logged in using.  The data you save will save on the device but you will be unable to upload anything until you have logged out and logged back into WorkMobile®.

The account you set up with your email address and password is only used to login to the WorkMobile® website.  In order for you to login to the WorkMobile® application you need to use the Mobile User details that you have created on the website.  Only the usernames and passwords that you have created on here will login to the application.

To build Reports, we use a Microsoft Report Builder.

If you have chosen to download the Report Builder from the WorkMobile® website as opposed to running it through your browser then the first time you login you may encounter problems. The link to the WorkMobile® site sometimes doesn’t carry across and you will need to input this manually.

To do this you will need to open the Report Builder and click on the circle in the top left hand corner of the screen, and from the list that appears select Options. Under the settings tab you have a text field that says:  Use this report server or SharePoint site by default:  You will need to copy the following link into that field:  https://www.esayworkmobile.co.uk/reportserver_mssql2008

Once this has been copied click OK, and you should now be able to login to the Report Builder

When saving your report you need to make sure that you save it within your Reg folder and not locally on your machine. If you do not save your report within your Reg folder then your report will never appear on the WorkMobile® website but as soon as it is within the Reg folder it will be available to view.

Unfortunately the Report Builder used for WorkMobile® is a Microsoft product and so it is only available for use via Windows and not on other systems.

If you have an issue regarding connectivity, see if the below questions help you.

This message comes up to inform you that your phone doesn’t have a data connection or that you are in an area of poor signal coverage, and that the signal level on your device is so poor that any jobs you complete will not be able to upload to the WorkMobile® server.

You are still able to login and you can still complete jobs, however the Send / Receive button will not be available and any jobs you do complete will have to sit on the device and wait for you to get a better signal before you are able to upload them.

The reason your jobs will not upload is because although you may have a small level of signal you may find that because you are trying to upload multiple jobs / pictures / signatures etc. that you need a greater level before the data will upload. The best thing to do is to wait until you come across an area with much better signal strength and upload your data from there.
